Who we are

EF Heating ("we", "us") provides plumbing and heating services in Beckenham and south-east London. For the purposes of UK data protection law we are the controller of the personal data you give us through this website. You can contact us about privacy at info@ecofitheating.com.

What we collect

When you use the Quick Quote Online form we collect your name, phone number, email address, postcode, the service you need and the details you type about the job. We do not ask for, and you should not send, payment card details through the form.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry, price the job and arrange a visit (steps taken at your request before entering into a contract).
To carry out and record the work if you go ahead, including gas safety records we are legally required to keep (contract and legal obligation).
To keep basic records of enquiries so we can deal with follow-ups and complaints (legitimate interests).

We do not sell your details and we do not use them for marketing unless you have asked us to.

Who we share it with

Only with the people needed to deliver the job, such as an engineer attending your property or a provider that hosts our email and website. Each is required to keep your data secure and use it only for that purpose.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted after a reasonable period. Records of completed work are kept for as long as needed for warranties, legal requirements and our accounts.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict its use. Email us and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
